The perfect mix
I loved the combination of yoga and surfing — it was the perfect mix! The people are friendly and very helpful, both locals and international employees. It was particularly nice how we grew together so quickly as a group: surfing and laughing together over dinner. The emotions that arose after evening yoga connected us in a profound way.

Please continue as before — everything about this place radiates warmth, passion and authenticity. Throughout my stay, I felt supported, inspired and completely at home. I'm already looking forward to coming back!
A big family
This has been one of my best weeks ever in my entire life! Sri Lanka is such a warm, safe, colorful and welcoming country and surf spirit retreat is simply its crown jewel. It's a gorgeous villa so close to the shore but still peacefully in land. The teaching and management team is amazing: young, cool, friendly, open, highly skilled. I had ko expectations about surf and learned so much in one week that I could tame medium to large and waves of the Indian Ocean (in a beginner beach). The food is mostly plentiful, tasty and healthy with loads of local fruit. I was terribly sad to leave this place, I still dream about it with closed and open eyes.
Absolut fantastisches Erlebnis
Es war ein absolut fantastisches Erlebnis! Jeder Einzelne im Team hat sich voll und ganz dafür eingesetzt, dass wir als Gäste eine wundervolle Zeit hatten. Das Essen war sehr lecker, und auf Vegetarier wurde besonders Rücksicht genommen. Die Yoga-Kurse waren wunderbar gestaltet und auch die Surf-Trainer waren fantastisch – sie gingen auf jeden Einzelnen ein und arbeiteten gemeinsam mit uns an unseren Fortschritten. Das gesamte Team war absolut wunderbar, und es war immer jemand vor Ort, falls man etwas brauchte. Ich würde es jederzeit wieder buchen!!

Incredible experience
Everything was perfect! There isn't a single thing I didn't like. The atmosphere in the group was simply outstanding and you could really feel the spirit of Surf Spirit. There were so many highlights, but the surf lessons were incredibly fun and simply great! They're all really, really great surf coaches, but most of all, they're warm, funny and you just love being around them. The yoga classes were also unbelievable. I've never felt such a strong connection to myself and also to the people I met just a week ago. The food and the entire team were simply fantastic, there is absolutely nothing to complain about. I loved waking up in the morning and enjoying the tastiest breakfast I've ever had.
Action & relax
A wonderful place to relax. The perfect mix of action and relaxation. The surf lessons helped me a lot and the direct location on the beach makes it easy to get out on the water at any time. The accommodation and food are excellent and the team behind it makes the stay completely uncomplicated and familiar.

5 Sterne sind nicht genug!
Eine magische Auszeit im Paradies – 5 Sterne sind nicht genug! Ich durfte eine Woche in der wunderschönen Jungle Villa verbringen, und es war einfach unbeschreiblich! Von der ersten Sekunde an fühlte ich mich wie im Paradies. Der Pool war der perfekte Ort zum Entspannen zwischen den Yoga- und Surf-Sessions, das Essen himmlisch und jeder einzelne Moment voller positiver Energie. Ich habe nicht nur meine Liebe zum Surfen und Yoga vertieft, sondern auch wundervolle Menschen kennengelernt. Egal ob Anfänger oder Fortgeschrittener, hier fühlt sich glaube ich jeder perfekt aufgehoben. Ich kann es kaum erwarten, wiederzukommen!

We've been to Surf Spirit for the second time now and it has exceeded our expectations every time! 😍 The food is simply amazing, always fresh and super lovingly prepared. The Jungle Villa is a paradise you could really relax. The people are all super friendly and helpful. The surf lessons were awesome and I immediately feel safer and have the feeling that I can surf. We would love to come back!

For us at Surf Spirit, it is a matter close to our hearts to create places where everyone can immerse themselves in a relaxed lifestyle characterized by ease, passion and pure joy. We always have a limited number of guests in our retreats. In this way, we can make everything very personal and create moments together that we will never forget and feel pure life in the midst of nature, for which we otherwise have so little time in our everyday lives.
We believe in the unique combination of surf & yoga and its benefits for your body, mind and soul. We are one of a few retreats that focus equally on both aspects and offers you packages that already include everything you need during your time with us. In both areas, no matter what level you arrive at, we make every effort to bring you one step further to your destination. We'll do everything we can to make you have a really great time in the water, on the mat or around the fire in the evening.

Das kommt ganz darauf an, für welche Location, Saison und welches Paket du dich entscheidest.
Grundsätzlich erwarten dich 7 Übernachtungen, tägliche Verpflegung mit Frühstück sowie ausgewählten Lunches und Dinners, Yoga und Meditation sowie Surf Lessons inklusive Theorie und Videoanalyse. Zusätzlich sind je nach Retreat kreative Workshops, Sound Healing, Massagen, Sauna oder weitere besondere Experiences enthalten.
In Portugal kannst du zum Beispiel auch zwischen einem Surf, Yoga & Create Paket und einem Yoga & Create Paket wählen, während es in Spanien in der Summer Retreat Season mehr kreative Erlebnisse und weniger Surfstunden gibt.
In Sri Lanka erwarten dich je nach Location besondere Extras wie Massage, Sauna und Eisbad in der Jungle Villa oder das Leben direkt am Meer in unserer Beach Lodge.
In all locations, you can be a complete surfing beginner and do not have to show a level to participate in our retreats.
At both locations in Sri Lanka and in Spain, the surfing conditions at our home spots are suitable for complete beginners who benefit from smooth waves to intermediates who rave about the constant waves. Intermediate & advanced surfers also get their money's worth at challenging spots thanks to our guiding concept.
You don't need any previous experience in yoga either. It is not about how good you are at something, but about giving yourself completely to it and enjoying the process, the joy of creating.
Our surf and yoga instructors are qualified and experienced, so we will address your personal level in the lessons so as not to overwhelm or underchallenge you.
Surf and yoga levels will be asked when you book. If you are not sure about this in advance, it doesn't matter, because we will go through everything again after arrival.
Our Jungle Villa and Villa Andalucia is suitable for surfers of all levels, as we can cater to both our bloody beginners and our advanced surfers with our guiding concept. Our qualified surf instructors will share your current surfing level with you upon arrival and can therefore be sure that we will challenge and support you in the best possible way during your week with us.
Our Beach Lodge is best suited for complete beginners and surf beginners with previous experience. When it comes to refining your take-off (stand-up technique), surfing the first green waves or incorporating your first turns, you'll absolutely get your money's worth in this location too.
Experienced surfers who want to go surfing on their own can book the Board Rental & Yoga package at the Beach Lodge and borrow our boards free of charge. However, if you are interested in surf guiding including transport to the Reef Spot and coach feedback, we recommend booking at Jungle Villa.
The waves in Portugal are suitable for beginners as well as for surfers who already have experience. There is a larger selection of surfing spots in the region that can be visited for courses. Here - as everywhere in Portugal - you spend 25 - 35 minutes by car to get to the best beach of the day, but it's usually worth the trip! We will of course shuttle you to the surf lessons & our coaches will then find the best spot depending on the day.
